What makes Ergoreels different
from conventional hose reels?

Spring
With a spring driven reel, the further you pull out the hose, the heavier it gets. The high level of recoil tension increases the risk of strain injuries. As this makes the hose hard to pull out the operator often refrain from using the hose reel, resulting in the hose remaining on the floor.
Ergoreels
Have the same low recoil tension no matter how much hose is extended. The force required to pull out the hose is only a fifth of that of a conventional reel and within recommended ergonomic limits. With a switch- or remote control you can even have motor assistance when you pull out the hose.

Spring
If you happen to drop the hose the spring in the reel will cause retraction at very high speed. The hose will then whiplash and come flying across the floor. At worst with a tool at the end of the hose. Inevitably causing material damage and possible injuries to people.
Ergoreels
The hose will always retract at a safe walking speed irrespective of at what length you may drop the hose. If the hose is caught or restrained the electronics will switch off the motor in a matter of seconds. A gentle pull of the hose will start rewinding again.

Spring
A fully tensioned spring contains considerable force that causes safety problems during servicing and maintenance. If the spring tension is not relieved, a release of the latch will cause the drum to rotate at high speed. If hands or tools are in the way you run the risk of personal injuries. A spring cover that is removed whilst the spring is under tension can cause the spring to be released with high force with personal injuries as a result.
Ergoreels
Instead of a spring, Ergoreels have a small but very strong electric motor. It provides several safety advantages. When changing hose or performing other maintenance tasks you no longer have to relieve- or retension the spring. It is not only safer it will also save valuable time.
